A New Season of Learning, Growing & Connecting
September brings a wonderful sense of new beginnings across Network Child Care Services. As we welcome children and families back into the rhythm of a new school year, our centres are filled with new faces, familiar friends, fresh routines, and plenty of opportunities for learning and discovery.
While summer may be winding down, the learning and exploration that happened throughout the warmer months continues to grow, literally!
Growing Joy: Our Centre Gardens
This summer, our centre gardens continued to flourish, creating beautiful spaces for children to explore, learn, and connect with nature.
From tiny seeds planted in the spring to full-grown plants ready for harvesting, children had the opportunity to experience the incredible journey of watching something grow right before their eyes.
There was so much joy to be found in the gardens, from harvesting juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and refreshing cucumbers, to watering plants, digging in the soil, and discovering the many little furry and buzzing visitors who made their way into our garden spaces.
But perhaps the most meaningful part of the experience was seeing children discover, firsthand how food grows. A seed can become a sprout, a sprout can become a plant, and with care, patience, sunlight, and water, that plant can provide something wonderful to enjoy.

Our gardens became more than just places to grow vegetables. They became outdoor classrooms where children could practice responsibility, make observations, ask questions, build connections with nature, and celebrate the excitement of seeing their hard work come to life.
And the adventure isn't over!
We are so happy to continue our garden projects as we move into the cooler months, finding new ways to explore and learn from nature throughout the changing seasons. We look forward to continuing our gardening journey next spring, when we can once again plant new seeds, nurture new growth, and create even more opportunities for discovery.
Here's to another season of growing, learning, and getting our hands a little dirty!
Welcome Back, September!
September is a time of transition and new beginnings. For many children, it means returning to a familiar classroom, while for others, it may mean taking their very first steps into a new learning environment.
Our educators are supporting children through these transitions with care, patience, and encouragement, helping each child feel welcomed, confident, and ready to explore.
As we settle into new routines, we are reminded that every day offers an opportunity to learn something new, build a relationship, try something different, and discover the world together.

Learning Through the Seasons
At Network, we know that learning doesn't only happen indoors or at a particular time of day. It happens everywhere, in the garden, on the playground, during a conversation, while observing a tiny insect, or when working together with a friend.
As we move from summer into fall, we look forward to embracing all that the changing season has to offer: colourful leaves, cooler-weather adventures, outdoor exploration, and new opportunities for children to wonder, investigate, and grow.
Here's to a September filled with curiosity, connection, and new adventures!
