As we welcome the month of June, we would like to thank our dedicated educators, staff, families, and community partners for helping create nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environments for children across our centres. The warmer weather has brought exciting opportunities for outdoor learning, special celebrations, and meaningful family involvement.
This month, we are proud to celebrate Pride Month and continue our commitment to fostering environments where every child, family, and staff member feels welcomed, respected, and valued. At Network Child Care Services, we believe that diversity strengthens our communities. We stand alongside the LGBTQ+ community and are committed to creating spaces where all identities, backgrounds, and family structures are celebrated. Through inclusive practices, respectful conversations, and a culture of belonging, we strive to ensure that everyone feels safe to be their authentic selves.
Centre Highlights
A New Beginning at Children's Gallery Child Care Centre
June 1st marked a very special milestone for Network Child Care Services as we officially welcomed children and families on the opening day of Children's Gallery Child Care Centre. The day was filled with excitement, smiles, new friendships, and a few happy tears as families began this new chapter with us.
We are thrilled to finally become part of the vibrant Grange Park community and look forward to building meaningful connections with the children and families we serve. Named lovingly after our neighbor, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Children's Gallery reflects the creativity, curiosity, and imagination that we hope to inspire every day.
Thank you to all the families who joined us on this memorable first day. We can't wait to create many wonderful memories together!
Bendale Child Care Centre
Our children have been busy exploring, creating, and learning through hands-on experiences this spring.
Recent activities have included:
- Gardening projects that encouraged children to learn about nature, growth, and responsibility.
- Creative art experiences where children expressed themselves through a variety of materials and techniques.
- Baking activities that supported early math, science, and life skills while creating delicious treats.
- Interactive movement sessions with X Movement, where children participated in engaging physical activities that promoted confidence, coordination, and active play.
These experiences have provided wonderful opportunities for children to learn through exploration, creativity, and movement.
Liberty Village Child Care Centre
Dough to Delicious: Pizza Day Fun!
Our infants recently enjoyed a special Pizza Making Day alongside their families. Children explored pizza ingredients including dough, sauce, and cheese while participating in each step of the process. They rolled dough, spread sauce, and added toppings with excitement and care.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Melissa (Calvin's mom), Angeline (Elliot's mom), and Kaycee (Emmett's mom) for volunteering and helping make the day so memorable.
Celebrating Asian Heritage Month
Our toddler classrooms celebrated Asian Heritage Month through a hands-on dumpling-making experience. Children worked together to prepare veggie-filled dumplings using tofu, carrots, zucchini, and spring onions.
Throughout the activity, children explored new textures, colours, and smells while strengthening fine motor skills through mixing, pressing, and folding. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate cultural traditions while encouraging creativity and teamwork.
Mother's Day Breakfast Celebration
Families joined us for a beautiful Mother's Day Breakfast filled with smiles, laughter, and quality time together.
Children and mothers created personalized bookmarks as keepsakes, and we extend our sincere thanks to Skyler's mom for helping prepare thoughtful bracelet gifts for the mothers in attendance.

Upcoming Events at Liberty Village
Father's Day Breakfast – June 22
Families are invited to join us for a special breakfast celebration honouring fathers and father figures. We look forward to sharing a morning focused on connection, appreciation, and creating lasting memories.
Preschool Graduation – June 26
This year, we are proud to celebrate 13 preschool graduates as they prepare for their exciting transition to Kindergarten.
We have loved watching their confidence, friendships, curiosity, and independence grow throughout the year. Congratulations to our graduates and their families on this important milestone!
Jubilee Child Care Centre
The children at Jubilee have enjoyed several exciting learning experiences and celebrations this spring:
- Nurses Week Celebration – Our toddler room recognized and celebrated the important contributions healthcare professionals make in our communities.
- Gardening Adventures – Preschool children have been planting and caring for gardens in our playground, learning about nature, responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
- Cinco de Mayo Celebration – Children and families enjoyed learning about cultural traditions through a special activity with one of our infant families.
Thank you to all the families who continue to enrich our programs by sharing their cultures, experiences, and traditions.
"Mom and Me" Mother's Day Gathering
On May 8, our Senior Preschool classroom welcomed mothers and children for a special "Mom and Me" celebration.
The event provided an opportunity for families to spend quality time together while participating in meaningful activities, creating special memories, and celebrating the important role mothers and caregivers play in children's lives.
Thank you to all the families who attended and helped make the event such a wonderful success.
